How to Register nol Card Online?

1. RTA Website

  1. Go to RTA Website
  2. Select “Apply for a new personal nol card” or “Personalize Your Existing Silver/Gold nol card” and click Next
  3. If you selected the new card option in the previous step, then you have to choose nol card in this step
  4. In the third step enter your personal and delivery details
  5. Upload documents such as Emirates ID(Front and Back side) and a personal photo
  6. In the last step confirm your information and pay the required amount
  7. After this, you will receive the application reference number through SMS and then you can check your nol balance
  8. You will receive your nol blue card within 4 working days

  1. Download RTA Dubai App
  2. Open the app and apply for nol personal card

Eligibility

The Personal nol card is available to all residents and visitors in Dubai who are aged 5 years and above.

Validity

  • The validity of nol blue card is 5 years
  • For students, the 50% concession period is 1 year which is renewable after applying again for a student nol card

Terms and Conditions

  • Concession Period for Student Cards: The concession period for student cards is valid for one year only and must be renewed once expired to continue benefitting from the concession. If not renewed, the regular/standard travel fees will apply.
  • Student Card Discount: The student card discount is only valid on the bus, tram, and metro if the concession is valid. The student must be between 5 and 23 years old to be eligible for the discount.
  • Senior Card: The customer must be 60 years old or above to be eligible for a senior card.
  • Personal Information: The printed name on the personal nol card will be the first and last name of the customer as stated on the Emirates ID.
  • Concession and Discount Categories: Personal nol cards with concession and discount (students, senior Emiratis, social affairs, and People of Determination) are only applicable to the regular/silver class only. Personal nol cards with Gold class are available for the adults’ category only.
  • PIN Code: Personal or registered cardholders will receive a PIN code. The customer must have the PIN code of the personal and registered card to manage their card’s file through the website or through the smart application.
  • Card Delivery: Personal nol card delivery is free of charge. In case of any delay in receiving the card, the customer can contact the RTA Call Centre on 8009090 or follow up on the process through the website.
  • Supporting Documents: The customer should adhere to the size and type of the supporting documents: png or jpeg format /size less than 2 MB.
  • Nol Express Service: Only adults are eligible to apply for the nol Personal Card service through Zoom shops in metro stations.
  • Blocked Cards: Blocked nol cards cannot be re-activated. Nol card registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Rejected Applications: Personal nol card applications will be rejected without refund if they did not meet the application conditions or if the customer did not confirm or update the required documents within three working days. Anonymous nol card applications will also be rejected without refund if they did not meet the application conditions.
  • Uncollected Cards: Returned/uncollected personal nol cards will be blocked without refund if the customer did not claim them within 30 working days.
  • Lost or Stolen Cards: If the card was lost or stolen, the cardholder is responsible for any usage on their card for a period of 48 hours, which starts from the moment they notify the RTA that the card was stolen or lost. The RTA will not be responsible for the available balance on the card until 48 hours have passed.
  • Unaccompanied Minor Policy: Children under the age of 8 are not recommended to use public transport (metro, tram, buses, and marine transportation) unless accompanied by adults. Children between 8-11 must have a permit issued by one of the parents to allow them to travel alone (with the exception of intercity buses). Children 12 years and above are allowed to use public transport without being accompanied by adults.
